Methodology and evidence
This comparison reproduces approved South Africa editorial profiles and their explicitly linked assessments from the EOR Shortlist research hub. It covers ten providers with verified availability in those records; it is not a census of the market.
Selection and revisions
Only profiles marked approved are included. The highest approved revision per provider is selected, then joined to the final global workbook score. Superseded records, draft profiles, unassessed scores and pending fact records are excluded. Evidence dates describe the underlying research, not a fresh check every time this website is generated.
Scoring
The final workbook supplies six category scores: cost, support, contract terms, payroll, local delivery, and cost transparency and FX. The list preserves the publisher’s stored overall score and orders it descending. Equal totals use cost transparency and FX, then name; a list position does not break a score tie. Stored totals may differ from a weighted calculation using rounded category values. We do not silently recompute or change approved assessments.
Evidence limitations
These are desk-research editorial assessments, not hands-on South Africa delivery tests. Provider claims remain provider claims. Global customer evidence may concern other countries, products, time periods or incentivised reviewers; limitations appear alongside each review. Unknown fees are not zero. Advertised prices are starting points or plan-specific rates, not complete employment quotes.

EOR Benchmark is independently owned and published by EOR Benchmark. Teamed is a reviewed provider, not the publisher or sponsor. No affiliate tracking is added to outbound links. Any future sponsorship or affiliate relationship will be disclosed where relevant. These reviews are editorial research, not a claim of hands-on testing.
Sources and maintenance
Each provider review includes the source URLs and recorded checking dates used by the assessment. This site is a static snapshot: new approved records require a refresh, rebuild and deployment. The latest approved Rippling profile replaces its older unverified-availability assessment.
