Who is this provider good for?
A fit for buyers considering an owned-entity operating model and documented HRIS workflows. Check reserve requirements and the country’s actual legal arrangement.
Sources and pricing conditions
Core pricing advertises EOR in 90+ countries; EOR marketing says 100% owned entities without third-party handoffs. Local Terms provide named entities and jurisdiction-specific assignment/consultancy arrangements, so a global owned-entity claim does not imply one identical legal model or every role is eligible. Contractor/Payroll/PEO coverage is separate. Ownership and licences were not independently verified in every country.
BambooHR sync is one-way into Remote hourly; HiBob runs every four hours with manual sync and error summaries. Both support EOR but active EOR field updates are more restricted than Global Payroll. Optional salary/title sync creates contract amendments; annual salary required and decreases may error. HiBob bank-data sync is Global Payroll-only, not EOR. Custom fields in table formats cannot sync. Integration listing says free from Remote, with third-party subscriptions potentially required; API landing capture exposed only a dynamic shell.

What is the real-world monthly provider fee?
USD 699 monthly management fee; USD 879 estimated real-world provider fee using our 2% FX and 1% other-fee benchmark on USD 6,000 converted payroll. The same benchmark applies to all four comparison providers. These allowances are estimates, not confirmed supplier tariffs. Salary, employer costs and refundable deposits are separate.
The headline fee is not the real-world fee.
Monthly management fee + FX + the monthly equivalent of onboarding, offboarding and termination service fees = estimated real-world monthly provider fee.
Our publisher’s industry benchmark is 2% FX plus a 1% lifecycle-fee allowance. On USD 5,000 salary plus USD 1,000 employer costs, that adds USD 180 a month: USD 120 FX and USD 60 reserved for occasional fees. A USD 599 headline fee therefore becomes USD 779 estimated if those assumptions apply.
FX can be a markup on employment taxes too. When the whole USD 6,000 bill is converted, the 2% FX charge includes USD 100 on salary and USD 20 on employer costs. That is USD 1,440 a year in FX alone. Our editor reports a typical 1.5–3% range; actual rates depend on the agreement and conversion route.
Teamed’s difference: its zero FX markup and zero routine extra provider fees in this model keep the modelled provider-fee layer at USD 599. Salary, employer costs and refundable deposits remain separate.
Sources and pricing conditions
Published monthly management fee: USD 699 per employee. Current public USD fee; an annual USD 599 offer was not evidenced. Salary, employer costs, reserves and other applicable charges are separate.
Employment fees include salary, taxes, benefits, allowances, expenses and agreed extras beyond management fee. Help lists immigration, background/health checks, nonstandard legal/termination work and entity-related bank or implementation costs. Value-added help claims pass-through at cost, but no complete public country rate card was obtained; the specific EOR service-cost page was unavailable. Request a line-item country quote.
Management-fee help says monthly fees are not prorated, annual fees nonrefundable, and active service runs to termination date. It also says after-cutoff termination or later payment can produce next-month fees, yet its examples describe December service billed on December reconciliation despite January payroll. Wording/examples are not fully consistent; exact last fee month remains a contract-specific question.

A dated country quote and reconciled invoice: management, FX, recurring extras and one-off fees amortised over a stated term; salary, statutory costs and deposits separate.
What does currency conversion actually cost?
Remote fixes an applicable FX rate monthly and its terms permit fees or margin. No universal markup percentage is established in the mapped evidence.
Sources and pricing conditions
Remote FX rate is fixed for each month across relevant invoices; help describes 12 billing and 70+ salary currencies and rate variation with volume, volatility and conversion/holding risk. Service terms expressly permit FX transaction fees or margin and payment-method charges. No universal markup percentage or independently reconciled market-rate comparison obtained.

How much cash is needed upfront and when is it returned?
Reserves depend on exposure, country and contract terms; 30-day invoice terms can require a month of gross salary plus mandatory employer costs. A fixed refund deadline is not established.
Sources and pricing conditions
Reserve assessment considers account exposure, country, late payment and enhanced contractual terms. Help says 30-day invoice terms require one month reserve for all employees, based on gross salary plus mandatory employer costs. Longer notice, guaranteed severance, seniority recognition and restrictive covenants can add reserves. Seniority guidance lists one month for 2–4 years and two months for 4–5 years, with the boundary requiring confirmation. EOR/COR scope differs from ordinary contractor management. Help landing-page no-upfront-deposit wording is qualified by these policies.
Unused reserve is credited/refunded after resignation/termination or cancelled onboarding once termination costs and outstanding balances are settled. Terms permit reserves, standby letters of credit/guarantees and offset against fees. No fixed refund deadline, client-money segregation guarantee, interest or insolvency protection established in inspected sources.
Questions to settle before signing
Deposit basis and triggers, payroll prefunding, due dates, refund conditions and deadline, custody protection and a worked cash timeline.
Can I hire this person in this country?
Core pricing advertises EOR in 90+ countries. The owned-entity claim does not settle every role, licence or immigration route.
Sources and pricing conditions

Immigration Guidance is for existing customers relocating a new nonresident hire or an existing Remote employee. It assesses pathways, timelines, obligations and estimated costs; people already resident with work rights use a separate eligibility check. Mobility and visa services may incur extra charges. No universal sponsorship guarantee or complete country/permit eligibility validation obtained.
Questions to settle before signing
Country, role, nationality/right to work, visa route, collective agreement, restrictions and a current eligibility confirmation.
What is included and what costs extra?
Payroll and employee workflows are documented. Immigration, checks and nonstandard legal or termination work can add costs; request the country schedule.

Remote documents iOS/Android access to employment documents, payslips, leave and receipt-based expenses. Leave dashboard shows balances, location holidays and request history; requests support partial days using an eight-hour baseline and are approved by the customer manager, not Remote. No hands-on usability or country-specific app/portal parity test performed. Country tax/benefit administration can still involve local requirements outside this interface.
Questions to settle before signing
Contracted payroll, benefits, HR, legal, expenses, immigration, insurance and implementation scope; country-specific optional charges and exclusions.
Who is the legal employer and can I move to my own entity?
Remote markets owned entities; local terms describe specific employers and legal arrangements. Confirm the relevant entity and responsibility chain.
Sources and pricing conditions
Core pricing advertises EOR in 90+ countries; EOR marketing says 100% owned entities without third-party handoffs. Remote founded in 2019; current leadership lists Job van der Voort CEO/co-founder and Marcelo Lebre president/co-founder. August 2026 service terms contract US-address customers with Remote Technology Services Inc and non-US customers with Remote Europe Holding BV (Dutch registration 76348946), plus servicing/invoicing affiliates. Local Terms name employing entities, including UK Remote Technology Services Ltd 12387671 and Netherlands Remote BV 76389197. UK registry confirms active incorporation on 6 January 2020; this is subsidiary history, not group founding.

How soon can the employee really start?
KYB approval, worker information and contracts precede completed onboarding and payments. A usual 24-hour KYB check is not a guaranteed employment start.
Sources and pricing conditions
EOR onboarding chooses Remote entity, managing/billing entities, saves drafts and invites self-enrolment; an invitation does not automatically provide an employment contract. First invitation triggers KYB; onboarding completion and all worker payments wait for approval. KYB help says checks usually finish within 24 hours after complete information, subject to additional documents and possible reserve. Remote may refuse engagements on eligibility/regulatory grounds; no independently tested start-time guarantee.
May 2026 EOR cutoff help: default 11th at 23:59 UTC, specified countries including Germany/India/Netherlands/South Africa use 16th, with semi-monthly and other exceptions. Contract amendments must be submitted by the 5th. Late approvals normally move to next payroll; off-cycle payments generally unavailable for late requests. Serbia changes require physical director/employee signatures. These submission rules do not establish a guaranteed response to provider-caused payroll errors.
Questions to settle before signing
Prerequisite checklist, KYB, signed contract, funding, country cutoff, dependencies and observed time from complete submission to legal start.
Who fixes an urgent payroll problem?
RemoteAI operates 24/7; human Live Messaging is 24/5, with general email targeting a reply within 24 hours. Buyer feedback supplied to our editor describes challenges reaching effective help. Confirm who owns urgent payroll issues: a response target is not a resolution commitment or a dedicated specialist.
Sources and pricing conditions
Our editor reports buyer feedback about difficulty reaching effective human support. This describes service experience, separately from published channel opening hours.
Support help distinguishes 24/7 RemoteAI from human Live Messaging 24/5; users can ask for a person, create tickets and track them with Support Monitor. General email aims for a response within 24 hours. AI cannot read attached screenshots; local specialists may require internal escalation. Global Payroll email/SLA is product-specific and not an EOR resolution guarantee. No signed urgent-payroll resolution SLA inspected.
Questions to settle before signing
Named ownership, human hours, local escalation, contractual response and resolution targets, severity definitions and observed incident outcomes.

What happens when I terminate or switch?
An annual commitment can outlast the employee’s employment. Remote’s terms describe nonrefundable annual fees and, for some Order Forms, remaining minimum commitments or early-termination charges. A monthly price does not necessarily mean monthly cancellation. Check your signed Order Form, renewal deadline and remaining fees before switching.
Sources and pricing conditions
EOR termination requests require legal/agreement review before communication to the worker; Remote may lead or join local conversations and flags extra legal costs. No universal turnaround is promised. Outgoing transfer to own entity/another EOR is documented as employee resignation through platform, not automatic preservation of tenure/benefits. Equity responsibilities shift at transfer; post-employment option exercises may still require Remote tax handling when vesting occurred during employment.
For MCV Order Forms terminated early, remaining MCV shortfalls for each remaining contract year become payable except qualifying Remote material breach. Multi-year zero-MCV price-lock termination costs 50% of average estimated annual fees invoiced per month times remaining months. One-year zero-MCV PAYG termination may remove volume discounts. Order Form fees are nonrefundable/noncancellable; obtain the signed form before relying on 30-day convenience termination.
